Advisers earn fee income through the Estate Planning process from time or quoted fees charged for client meetings and information gathering, reviews and through a share of documentation income.
The Estate Planning process:
- You complete the Topdocs Estate Planning course;
- Review your clients' Estate Planning needs utilising Topdocs detailed client Fact Finds, technical briefs and other tools;
- Discuss client data with a Topdocs lawyer;
- Conduct joint video conferenced meeting with your client and Topdocs lawyer (video conference equipment is included in the Topdocs Estate Planning course fees);
- Preparation and completion of quote, client, adviser and fee agreements;
- Topdocs lawyer will prepare the Estate Plan and relevant documents and forward to you for review;
- You present the plan and document to your client for execution (some documents may require lawyer sign off)
- Optional: follow up video conference to address any client requirements;
- Estate Plan document storage (Topdocs Vault) with ongoing access for reviews
